AKA Denounces COVID-19 Vaccine Trials In South Africa

As you well know, the world is contending with the coronavirus pandemic. And out there, experts are fighting to develop a cure or vaccine. Actually some vaccines have already been developed.

The trial of some of the developed vaccines has been a subject of controversy, especially following a statement by two French doctors that the vaccines should be tried in Africa, where [add disparaging words here] .

American rapper Ice Cube is unimpressed and had denounced plans to use Africans as “guinea pigs” for COVID-19 vaccine trial.

In his belief, and indeed in his denunciation, Ice Cubes isn’t alone. He’s got the backing of South Africa’s AKA.

AKA, whose birth name is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, is upset the trials have begun in South Africa. He shared a tweet on the ongoing trial of the vaccine in Soweto, asking where “woke rangers” are when they are needed the most.

A TImesLive report indicated that the COVID-19 trial has begun in three undisclosed medical facilities in Gauteng in collaboration with SA Medical Research Council (SAMRC) and Oxford University in the United Kingdom
