AKA Ecstatic As His 107-Year-Old Great Grandmother Survives COVID-19

It’s all good news at the end of Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, the South African rapper long famous as AKA, as his 107-year-old great grandmother, Meta Reed, survives COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The coronavirus is said to be particularly savage on old people whose systems are mostly weakened by age and sometimes disease. But AKA’s great grandmother beat the virus, joining the league of elderly people who survived the virus.

By the way, in case you missed it, days ago, it was reported that a New Jersey woman survived both the Spanish Flu and the coronavirus. She was the same age as AKA’s great grandmother.

AKA’s 107-year-old great grandmother’s survival is particularly significant and gratifying in that AKA himself (by personal admission) was infected with the virus and recovered quickly.

AKA shared the news of his great grandmother’s recovery on Instagram, tagging CNN to the post in the hope the cable network featured it. You can check out the post below.

The survival of AKA’s great grandmother should in no way make you relax your guard. Coronavirus is still a killer. Follow health guidelines and be safe out there.
