The time has come, declared Kiernan “AKA” Forbes in a tweet yesterday, priming fans for the release of a new body of work. The words were followed by three emojis, one indicating love, the other South Africa, and the third a video.
In a follow-up tweet, the celebrated rapper had dropped “Mass Country” as the project’s title. He shared a clip showing Nasty C and others in what appears to be a recording session. That’s about it—no further details.
At any rate, the prospect of the songster releasing a new project has sent waves of excitement across the music space in Mzansi, with his fans stating in the comments that they can’t wait to listen to what he might drop next.

From the look of things, Nasty C is one of the rappers that will feature in the imminent project. And that shouldn’t be surprising. Although the two artists are not the most regular of collaborators, they have a relationship dating back years to when Nasty C was an obscure artist.
AKA had reportedly put him on back then and encouraged him.
At any rate, “Mass Country” will be released later this year. And of course, we’ll be pout here to share it with you.
