The recent clash between the police and students at Wits – read as the University of Witwatersrand – has got Mzansi talking, angry. Ordinary folk and notable figures alike have spoken up about the incident.
Tweeting about the protest, Kwesta, who also used the broken heart emoji, dplord the fact that people would be killed if they should stand up to the authorities. He also averred that soon enough a minister would try to distract the public from the disaster that was the handling of the Wits protest. He’s displeased by the complicity of the police.
On his part, AKA is of the opinion the police do not discriminate in firing at students, whatever their political affiliations.
