It is just days to the memorial and funeral of South African rapper AKA and it has been revealed that Myurdah Bongz, who married AKA’s ex-girlfriend DJ Zinhle, would not be in attendance at either ceremony.
AKA was gunned down as he stepped out of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban and embrace a companion. The CCTV footage of the incident is currently generating rage and theories and so much more, with the key questions unanswered.
Yesterday, AKA’s family announced via the rapper’s verified Twitter page that his memorial and funeral would take place later this week. While the memorial is on Friday, the funeral would take place a day after – a private event with only a few people in attendance, It will, however, be streamed live on the rapper’s YouTube page.
With the announcement came expectations on who and who might attend or not. While it has been said that Murdah Bongz would not attend either ceremony, his wife DJ Zinhle has already visited the late rapper’s crib in the company of Oskido. And it is said that she would be attending the two ceremonies.
Some social media users think she shouldn’t be present, though, as it is not part of Pedi culture.
