AKA reacts to accusations that he’s xenophobic towards fellow Africans.
Last week, while sharing his thoughts on the recent attacks in African Americans in the US, AKA adviced them all to come home so “we can all be nice and soft together”. This riled a lot of his followers up with some feeling he didn’t have the same energy during the Xenophoboc attacks last year.
One follower called him out for his tweet saying he never does that when it comes to Africans raised by Africans. He shot back accusing the follower of having a problem with him prioritizing people born in South Africa.
Africa is bigger than China, India, the U.S. and most of Europe … Combined. You sound unread, uneducated but most importantly, uncultured. https://t.co/XDB05FzAU1

In 2019, the rapper was called out by many for his tweets which seemed to support xenophobia. He had tweeted about being tired of always losing to Nigeria after the AFCON games and the BET Awards. This caused a lot of backlash from fellow Africans who seemed to believe he isn’t supportive of his them.
Why are you disappointed that I propose they resettle and invest in Africa? Is it their influence on global culture? Hip Hop, movies, Sport? Which one is the issue? https://t.co/Op7w5dBkRA
