AKA Talks Upcoming Album, New Generation Musos & So Much More In Video Interview – Watch

The coming of the new year – the time before that, even – is usually a moment of reflection for many, as they pondered what happened, what could have happened, and what they expect to happen in the coming days.

Well, South African rapper AKA had exactly that moment recently. The songster was a guest on Slikour’s The Unplugged and detailed a lot about his person, career, and music while spitting bars from his old numbers.

If you are a keen AKA fan, then you probably recall that the songster was to have released his album “Mass Country” last year but deferred the release. Now the project is slated for release on the 27th of this year.

That album was a subject of reflection as well. he also harped on the important figures in South African hip hop, from K.O. to Kwesta, among others.

2022 was the year of AKA’s comeback – not that he actually left, though. He just had great resonance after what appeared to be a lull in buzz. That, and so much more, formed the basis of his interview, which you can check out below.

2023 has begun on a good note for the songster. How he rides the year remains to be seen.
