AKA To Abandon Rap For The Decks And Turntables?

Mzansi rapper AKA is in a creative orbit right now and is considering quitting rapping briefly for a new career – still in music.

The songster made this known in a tweet on 22 August. According to him, he might release his intensely anticipated “Bhovamania” project and then DJ for a year or two.

The post has got his fans divided. While some salute the move to somewhere new, others urged him to stick to rap, where he has shown great skill. Not many know him as a DJ, although he is now known as a producer. In fact, he has bragged about being the greatest producer from South Africa.

Sometime last week, AKA had hinted about retiring from music, and his pal Zoocci Coke Dope had volunteered to produce his last album “Bhovamania” for him so he can retire as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). So AKA’s tweet about switching career did nor surprise many.

But is he is really serious about switching careers or he is merely joking? Time will tell, of course.

Well, what do you think of AKA’s plans to switch careers? You are welcome to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section below.
