AKA’s family, the Forbes, received his four wins at the Metro FM Music Awards 2023.
Mzansi will never know a talent like AKA anymore. We were all blessed to know him, and his legacy continues to live on. The famous rapper who was murdered on February 10 in Durban is still making his family, friends, and fans proud.
After bagging nominations at the Metro FM Music Awards, AKA posthumously won four of them. His family, the Forbes, were present to accept them on his behalf. This award show took place on Saturday at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit. Indeed, it was everything we all thought it would be.
One of the most anticipated events of the night was AKA’s wins. AKA emerged winner of the Best Male Artist, Best Collaboration, and Best Hip Hop Artist categories. His daughter Kairo and his parents Tony and Lynn Forbes took to the stage to accept them. Kairo even sang her late father’s song. Congrats to the king.
