AKA’s Family To Celebrate His birthday With An Exclusive Art Exhibition

The Forbes family is set to celebrate the late AKA’s family with an exclusive art exhibition.

The Kiernan Forbes Foundation has announced that it will be collaborating with merchandise company Bravado, the world’s leading merchandise company, to celebrate the late rapper’s birthday.

The iconic SA Hip Hop star passed away last year on February 10 while he was out for a birthday dinner with friends at a restaurant in Durban. He was shot and killed outside the restaurant. He would have celebrated his 36th birthday later this month.

In a post shared on the rapper’s Instagram page, the foundation announced that an art exhibition will be held at Mall of Africa in Midrand from 26 to 28 January to commemorate his birthday. The exhibition will feature exclusive artwork and merchandise, which will pay tribute to his iconic legacy.

The statement read, “The collaboration also provides an opportunity for emerging South African artists to showcase their talent and brings an unparalleled experience for AKA’s fans to enjoy.”

GALXBOY, David Tshabalala, Mondli “The Artivist” Kunene, Thokozani, and SK Original are reportedly contribute to the exhibition. An original GALXBOY memorial t-shirt is included in the available items.

“As with their other products, this t-shirt will be available for buying and shipping on the online store, including international shipping.”
