AKA’s “Lemons Lemonade” feat. Nasty C Certified 5x Platinum, Fans Push for Justice
According to his distribution partner Vth Season, South African rapper AKA’s smash single “Lemons (Lemonade)” featuring Nasty C has been certified 5x Platinum. The lead song from AKA’s Mass Country album was released in September of last year to mixed reviews. However, it grew in popularity and received millions of streams from admirers worldwide.
Unfortunately, AKA did not live to see the song’s most recent success because he was shot and killed outside a restaurant in Durban last year. The authorities are still looking into the issue, and AKA’s followers are demanding justice with the hashtag #JusticeForAKA.

Despite his premature passing, AKA’s music lives on and receives attention. The rapper has been nominated six times for the Metro FM Awards, and his supporters are desperate to give him a posthumous victory.
Vth Season thanked the fans, MEGACY, and all the creative talent who contributed to the song’s success. The announcement of the 5x Platinum certification was bittersweet for AKA’s admirers, who continue to grieve his loss while celebrating his accomplishments.
