AKA’s Mother Lynn Forbes Finally Speaks, Appeals To The Youths

AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, has finally broken her silence days after her son was murdered in the streets of Durban. Lynn has been silent because her husband, Tony Forbes, was chosen as the family’s spokesperson following AKA’s death.

However, at the ANC youth vigil held at the rapper’s home, she had broken her silence and addressed the youths present. She recalled that AKA had a great passion for the youths — something many confirmed — and that it would be great if the same passion would be kept alive.

Some students recalled that AKA had shown great support during the fees must fall protests that rocked South Africa. Sadly, he wouldn’t be pushing that advocacy anymore.

AKA was gunned down alongside his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.

Since his killing, theories have been flying about who must have ordered the hit. Some tweeps claim that his DJ Don Design must have been unloved as he exhibited “dodgy” behaviour as captured in the CCTV camera. But the family’s lawyer dismissed his involvement.

By the way, AKA’s mother has been praised for including Nadia Nakai as part of the family as they arrived for the memorial.
