AKA’s Mother Lynn Forbes On Her Favourite Song From The “Mass Country” Album

AKA’s mother has pointed to his song “Ease” as her favourite from his posthumous “Mass Country” album. The project would have been released before AKA’s death, but as he admitted, he had to defer it because A-Reece planned to release a project around the same period.

Sadly, the songster was assassinated on February 10 with a point-blank shot to the head just after stepping out of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. Also killed with him was his former manager, Tebell “Tibz” Motsoane.

“Mass Country” was a big win with fans, which might be explained as fans trying to support their rapper and his legacy even in death. The project has won multiple plaudits and continues to win. Of the songs in the album, though, “Ease” resonates with AKA’s mother the most.

According to her, “Ease” is a very emotional tune and many people may not have realised its impact. She made that known in a clip which you can check out below.

An investigation into AKA’s assassination is ongoing, but some South Africans are already losing faith in the police’s ability to fish out the killers and grant closure to the slain rapper’s mourning family. Well, time will tell.
