On Monday 25 January, Alicia Keys turned 40 and celebrated the milestone with friends and family.
Taking to Instagram a day after, the songstress shared snaps from the event which indicated she had a wonderful time and that she is deeply loved by those closest to her, especially her musician husband Swizz Beatz.
In her Instagram post, the “If I Ain’t Got You” songstress indicated she had a wow weekend and she feels so blessed. She thanked all those who had celebrated with her on that eventful day, adding she would not forget the magnanimity.
She implored whoever would listen to be effusive with their joy, holding nothing back. She also made it clear that romance isn’t dead. The whole story of her birthday weekend is not something she cares to share at the moment, though. That would be some other day.
Among those who celebrated with her are South Africa’s Black Coffee. In a tweet, the celebrated international DJ had called her queen, wishing her a happy birthday.
