Amakipkip has released a brand new merch as tribute to the late, DJ Citi Lyts.
It is indeed a sad week in Mzansi. On Monday morning, one of SA Hip Hop’s biggest voices was shot and killed and Mzansi has not been the same. The incident happened in Dube, Soweto, where the younger brother of the late Linda “Prokid” Mkhize was the victim of a fatal shooting.
Social media has since been flooded with heartbroken reactions to his death. Fans and colleagues have shared tributes in his honour. A recent post by clothing brand, Amakipkip reveals a new 100 unit merch released to raise funds for the late DJ’s family.
The brand has announced plans to raise R80k by Friday, February 18, after which all the proceeds will be given to the “Vura” hitmaker’s family. They have called on the SA Hip Hop scene to lend their support. Artists including Riky Rick, Emtee and more have also come through to support the movement.
