Mzansi rejoices as Amapiano is set to get its own Awards show.
We would all agree that Amapiano is not only the biggest music genre in the country right now, but also the most sort after in the African continent. Piano has not only dominated all of Mzansi, but also converted artistes and DJs in other African countries. It’s only a matter of time until it takes over the world.
In a recent update shared by media personality, Kgopolo Mphela, the genre will soon be getting its own Awards show. This is specially to celebrate it and the artistes and DJs who have contributed to its growth.
According to Mphela, the organisers of the upcoming Awards show, South Africa Amapiano Music Awards are unknown. However, it will have 20 categories and winners will get R10k each, while “Song of the Year” gets R50k. According to the post, the categories will be announced on MacG’s “Podcast And Chill”.
