American rapper, Pop Smoke, has been confirmed dead after multiple shooting. Rappers have taken to social media to react to his death.
American rapper and songwriter, Pop Smoke, has been confirmed after he suffered wounds from gunshots.
Bashar Barakah Jackson, popularly known by the stage name Pop Smoke, was at home in Hollywood, Los Angeles when the incident occurred. Two men, who were reported to be wearing masks and hoodies, barged into the house and fired multiple shots at Pop Smoke.
Pop Smoke, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, United States, was reportedly pronounced dead on Wednesday, at a hospital in West Hollywood.
Speculations have it had Pop Smoke might have been targeted by robbers because he recently posted a stack of money and jewellery on his social media page. The image also depicted the address of his home.
The armed men who fired gunshots at Pop Smoke haven’t been captured. However, a suspect who was briefly detained by the police got released not quite long after been detained.
The young rapper, who was twenty years of age, had a promising career that was growing at a fast pace. Pop Smoke was listed as one of the promising young MCs in the United States of America.
In Pop Smoke’s short-lived career, the rapper collaborated with popular rappers including Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Quavo, and Skepta.
