America’s Will.i.am Settles South Africa’s DJ Lag After Song Theft Claims

Good news is in the horizon for South African disc jockey and producer DJ Lag. The songster has received an undisclosed sum as settlement from American musician Will.I.Am following recent song theft claims, according to media reports.

Sometime last year, DJ Lag had accused Megan Ryte of plagiarizing his 2016 song “Ice Drop” with her “Culture” song featuring Will.I.Am and A$AP Ferg.

South African had trolled Megan Ryte, demanding that her “Culture” track be taken down from YouTube.

It soon emerged that it wasn’t Megan Ryte who was guilty but Will.I.Am. The songster claimed responsibility for the theft in an Instagram video and apologized for it. DJ Lag had demanded compensation for the plagiarism at the time, which appeared to be okay with Will.I.Am. he has since settled the South African DJ and notable gqom artiste.

DJ Lag had confirmed receiving a sum in settlement but refused to disclose how much he received. He merely stated that he was happy with the settlement. It looks like this might  put an end to the case and the trolling. Or what do you think?
