Amid Hope of Possible Account Reinstatement, Trump Says He’s Not Returning to Twitter

Expectations are high that former United States president Donald Trump will return to Twitter after being suspended from the platform for going against the rules. It turns out, however, that he has no plans of returning to the platform — not yet anyway.

With a figure of over 82 million, Trump was one of the most followed accounts on the platform. But when he allegedly went against the rules, the platform suspended his account “permanently.”

But with Elon Musk close to finalising a deal to purchase the microblogging platform for $44 billion, some tweeters are saying that their “favourite” president will soon be back.

Speaking on the possibility of getting back on the platform, the former president made it clear he isn’t coming back. He, however, conceded that Musk is a good man who’d most likely do an excellent job by taking over Twitter.

According to Trump, he’d instead remain on Truth Social, a similar social media platform he founded about six months ago.

Well, it’ll be interesting to see if he’ll change his mind and return to the platform in the coming days.

By the way, Elon Musk’s offer to buy Twitter for $44 billion has generated applause and controversy in equal measure.
