The Renowned TV Personality Shares Her Inspiring Journey

South African television and radio host, Anele Mdoda, recently took to social media to share her inspiring journey from auditioning for her first TV gig to owning her own production company. Mdoda, who has been in the industry for more than two decades, revealed that she had to beg her TV godmother, Kyleen Irvine, to audition for the SA’s Got Talent gig when she was just 24 years old. Irvine, who Mdoda refers to as her “TV godmother,” has been instrumental in her career, casting her in various gigs including the popular show, Celebrity Game Night.

In her Instagram post, Mdoda wrote, “My tv godmother just sent me my audition form for SA Got Talent. They were done looking for a host and I begged and begged and they gave me a shot. The rest is history. She also cast me on celebrity game night. No audition needed there.”
