The spread of the Coronavirus has affected so much all over the world. In these times, the music industry has been hit pretty hard and artists have been subjected to making most of their income from music streams.
In a bid to support artists during this time, Apple Music has launched a new initiative titled “Stream Local” to help artists’ music to be accessed easily accessed by their country’s locals. The new initiative which was launched last week will support artists in some parts of Africa, India and Australia.
The campaign involves the creation of music playlists that contain some of the best music from local artists. The playlists are featured on the platform’s main browser page.
The playlists will feature songs by some of the country’s biggest acts including Prince Kaybee, DJ Zinhle, Nasty C, Sha Sha, Black Motion and more. House, Amapiano, and various genres have had playlists created for them. This will definitely help artists’ music to be easily accessible.
