Apple’s iOS 17 will be released to the public next week.

Apple has announced the coming release of the iOS 17. The announcement was made during the Wonderlust event on Tuesday. This comes months after the iPhone software was unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June. The new iPhone software will be available to the public on Monday, Sept. 18.

Apple wrote in the announcement, “iOS 17 will be available as a free software update on Monday, September 18.” reported that Apple also “announced the new iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max and the new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 at the Wonderlust event on Tuesday.”

As expected, the coming iPhone software will bring improvements to compatible phones. This also includes improvements in Messaging and apps. also writes that the iOS 17 “also brings the new StandBy Mode to compatible iPhones, which turns your iPhone into a smart display when charging and in landscape mode — when it’s horizontal, not vertical.”

This also means your phone can function as a clock while on standby. It would also shuffle through photos or operate widgets. The new features or improvements will be introduced to both the iPhone and the AirPods Pro. It will also present live voicemail screening. This means you can read the transcript of a voicemail in real time and either choose to pick up or not.
