Arnold Vosloo Teases “Ludik,” First Afrikaans Netflix Show

Celebrated actor Arnold Vosloo has teased what someone probably had in mind but never had the courage to execute, the first Afrikaans Netflix show.

The celebrated actor had announced the show while speaking on Breakfast with Martin Bester.  Dubbed Ludik,  the series will pop on screens globally on 26 August 2022.

The six-part series will feature Arnold Vosloo himself (as Daan Lukid), Rob Van Vuuren (as Swys De Villiers), Diaan Lawrenson (as Anet Ludik), and Zane Meas (as Brigadier Davies).  This much was revealed in a press release from Netflix.

Not surprisingly, the story revolves around the man who created it (Vosloo), who, in the series, was selling himself as a furniture magnate and a respectable figure.  Underneath that veneer is a man with links to the underworld and mobsters.

It sounds like something with an intriguing storyline to get viewers hooked.  At least from the information released so far about Ludik,  fans have been consumed with a fever of excitement and impatient to see what’s coming.

But then they wouldn’t have to stay long.  The date for the official release of Ludik, 26 August 2022, is just a month away.  We might delve into the series on release, so follow on social media and tag along.
