Kwaito star Arthur Mafokate gets slammed by Mzansi for shedding tears while addressing fraud allegations on TV.
It may be a new year, but Kwaito star Arthur Mafokate is not having it easy. The singer has been blowing up Twitter trends since he was accused of fraud. According to reports, he was under investigation for defrauding the National Lotteries Commission. This allegedly led to the seizing of his properties by the SIU.
The singer appeared in an interview with Danny Mdluli dubbed, ‘Authur Mafokate Sets The Record Straight,’ but fans believe it was a waste of their time. According to the viewers, he avoided some of the questions and shed “crocodile tears” to gain sympathy.
In the interview, Mafokate tried to correct the narrative that he used his record label and NPO, SA Arts and Development Association, to defraud the NLC of millions donated by the NLC for youth development. It is believed that he bought a guesthouse in Midrand.
