He was such an important figure that when he died, someone couldn’t resist the temptation to write a book about his life and what is alleged to be his tragic love life with Nelli, who also died in unclear circumstances.
The dead spoken of her is AKA and the other dead was his former lover Anele “Nelli” Tembe. Nelli died in as-yet unclear circumstances on April 11 2021, Allegedly, she had jumped to her death from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Durban
The case was never resolved. Three years later, though. Three years later, AKA himself dropped dead in the streets. His death has since been ruled an assassination, with an investigation currently ongoing.
Well, the author Melinda Ferguson decided to interrogate AKA’s love life with a book about the rapper and his relationship with Nelli. Her verdict is that the two had a toxic love affair.
Well, by her own account, it has not been an easy ride for her since writing the book, as she now gets death threats, with some people warning her to hire bodyguards or they would assault her.
Interstingly, AKA’s parents claimed not to have given her permission to write the book and have also not read it
