Gemini Major is apparently unimpressed with awards, especially the South Africa Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA). He made this clear in a recent thread, stating that awards don’t mean much although many artistes out there are valuing them more than they should.
The SAHHA recently released its list of nominees this year and artistes have been interrogating the list. Makwa had commented that the SAHHA usually nominates the same artistes year after year.
Gemini Major had concurred, stating that has been the case for five years straight. And when a fan stated that Gemini major should be on the judging panel, the “Slum Kid” agreed, dropping a couple of laughing emojis to indicate his humour.
DJ D Double D was apparently one of those nominated this year. The disc jockey and producer was excited about his nomination and made that known in a tweet. Gemini Major had popped in, telling him not to get too excited…
B y the way, Gemini Major isn’t the first to say such about awards. Other artistes have shared similar sentiments in the past.
