It’s April 1st, the global day of pranks and hilarity, and, keeping to the tradition of that infamous date, media personality Ayanda Thabethe pranked her followers on social media.
In a tweet earlier today, the Love Lives Here actress had shared a fake advert in collaboration with the Jameson, claiming the whisky brand was launching a skincare range, “Beatha Skincare.”

Not only did the actress and media personality prank her social media followers, she also took her pranks offline. According to her, away from social media, she also pranked two other people and had fun doing it.
The origin of April Fools’ Day is still a subject of speculation. According to some historians, it dates back to 158, when France ditched the Julian Calendar in favour of the Gregorian calendar.
