South African reality show star Ayanda Thabethe is under close scrutiny over the luxury cars in her possession as investigators attempt to arrest her baby daddy, who is under investigation for fraud. Peter Matsimbe had reportedly acquired 10 luxury vehicles using forged documents.
And because Ayanda Thabethe has been flaunting luxury cars all over her social media pages, fans have been watching closely and asking whether the cars she posts are not the proceeds of crime. Among the cars she had flaunted so far are a Lamborghini, a BMW, a Bently, a McLaren, a Mercedes and a Ferrari.
Standard Bank had reportedly taken Matsimbe to court, which ordered him to return the vehicles. He had reportedly been hedging and only returned two of the vehicles. The rest, according to reports, are being smuggled out through the Mozambique border.
Ayanda Thabethe herself hasn’t said anything about the claims the vehicles she flaunts on social media might be part of what Matsimbe had acquired by fraudulent means. Just recently, though, she had criticised the EFF for its national shutdown strike, but South Africans hushed her, stating her boyfriend is a crook and she should “sit this one out.”
It remains to be seen if the cars in her possession will be taken over by the authorities.
