So there was no wedding after all? The disappointment many South Africans are feeling right now is best imagined, having just been informed that the singers Azana and Mthunzi had merely pretended to get married in a bid to promote their collaboration.
Just recently Azana shared a picture of herself in a wedding gown together with her man. In the caption to her post, she praised him and pointed out how he has been a big pillar in her life and career and how blessed she was to have him.
At the time she made the post, many South Africans were excited for her and shared prayers that both would have the best marriage ever. Even while some South Africans were still digesting the news of the couple’s “marriage,” Azan and “her man” decided to come clean about what they had done.
They had not gotten married but merely pulled off a PR stunt.
In a post on her verified Instagram page, Mthunzi joked that he got married for a few days and it felt real. You can check out the posts below.
Azana herself shared something similar, noting that it was just a stunt to promote “Sifanelene,” a number he did with Mthunzi.
