Babes Wodumo Allegedly Sues Tha Simelane After Interview

It appears the “Wololo” hitmaker Babes Wodumo has had a volteface regarding her decision to forgive Tha Simelane, who had hinted, in a recent interview, that the singer may be hooked on cocaine.

Although Tha Simelane had apologized thereafter, stating he realized the statement would be damaging to Babes Wodumo’s brand and Babes Wodumo herself had stated she had accepted his apology, things have deteriorated fast.

It appears the apology is not enough and Babes Wodumo wants more than that. In a recent report, the Sunday Sun reported that the singer, who is famous for her controversial personality and for her contributions to the gqom genre in South Africa, has filed for defamation of character.

Interestingly, Babes Wodumo’s lawyer Ayanda Mngadi confirmed the songstress and her team are in the process of taking legal action against Tha Simelane. A case of defamation has already been lodged at Westville Police Station in KwaZulu-Natal.

By the way, the allegation of substance abuse had been made when Tha Simelane interviewed Babes Wodumo on Instagram Live.

What would happen to the court case in the coming days? Will the parties eventually settle out of court? The questions are many, and public earnestly awaits the verdict of time.
