South African singer, Babes Wodumo is under attack on Twitter for asking to be invited to perform at a fresher’s event.
That should not be a problem ordinarily, except that Babes Wodumo had asked to be invited in the past and after she was, she refused to show up on the day of the show. That’s why fans are slamming her for asking for another invitation without apologizing for missing the last one.
Her tweet read:

But fans were not having it. A fan quickly reminded her that when she was still big, she refused to show up and even spat at them.
In the fan’s words:
I remember when you were still big and you were booked at Nmmu. You arrived at 4am instead of the 12am as communicated. OK fine. Why the hell did you perform for 3 seconds n not a single dance move. Yhoo wena Babes. You played yourself shame.
Another fan asked if she would not be lazy if she was invited for the show, giving voice to the prevalent view that Babes Wodumo most times failed to deliver on her own side of the bargain when she was invited to perform at shows.
Babes Wodumo is currently getting backlash from every angle for her decision to stick with Mampintsha after she was domestically abused by him on a live video that went viral. Companies have since dissociated themselves from the “Gqom” queen and her boyfriend.
Babes and Mampintsha are now trying to fix the mishap by being humble as much as the can, hence her request to be invited to perform at the freshers event. a documentary highlighting their relationship and domestic violence is currently being recorded and will be released anytime from now.
