When musicians release a body of work, the dream is that the work resonates with the audience, earned them plaudits and everything good. But, of course, it isn’t all the time that such positive energy follows a body of work.
Right now, it appears like fans of South African singer Babes Wodumo are not “feeling” her new EP. The songstress has actually not released the project yet – just a snippet from what she has cooked so far.
The controversial blogger Musa Khawula had shared the snippet on his X account, indicating that it was a preview of what is being cooked. Fans listened to the project from there.
The reactions so far point to fans not being impressed with what was released as a snippet, with some of them stating that she needs a new team to help her hone her sound.
It is unclear if the complaint will eventually reach the singer and if she will do something about it. It will also be interesting to see whether the reaction to the full EP will be the same, or whether there will be a change of opinion when fans listen to the full project. See the snippet below.
