Bheki Cele In Rustenburg For Festive Season Safety Roadshow

South Africa’s police affair minister Bheki Cele is set to visit Rustenburg as part of the activities to ensure the safety of tourists and residents during the festive season.

A road show in Rustenburg, North West, will bring the minister to that turf, where he is expected to share some words with those present about safety this festive season. He is also expected to interact with members of the community, right down to shop owners and taxi drivers.

Detailing the minister’s itinerary, the spokesperson for the police ministry, Lirandzu Themba, noted that the minister will lead the annual inspection road show. The visit is part of the efforts of the South African Police Services (SAPS) to channel resources to where they are most needed.

This community intervention will also put the police in a place to effectively curtail and deal with crime.

The Rustenburg affair wouldn’t come as a surprise because the minister has been on that initiative for a while. He even became infamous at some point for helping in the destruction of illicit liquor. At the time, though, some of his critics had pointed out that that will in no way stop drunk driving.

Well, Rustenburg is feeling the minister
