Bheki Cele Visits After Blasts At The Soweto Home Of Former Operation Dudula Leader Nhlanhla Lux

Leader of the Soweto parliament and former leader of Operation Dudula across South Africa, Nhlanhla “Lux” Dlamini has blamed the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) for the bombs that reportedly went off at his apartment in the early hours of yesterday.

South Africa’s minister of police, Bheki Cele, has visited the location to ascertain the situation on the ground and possibly the extent of the damage done to the property. The minister would note later that no one was injured in the blast.

However, according to Dlamini damage was done to the property, as part of his windows were blown off. The same happened to the windows of his neighbours.

However, some sources have faulted Dlamini’s claim, some insisting he isn’t telling the whole truth. Also, reacting to the claims by Dlamini that the EFF was behind the blast at his residence, EFF spokesperson Sinawo Thambo dismissed it as “baseless nonsense.”

EFF and Dlamini were never the best of friends, as the red party was markedly opposed to him and his Operation Dudula advocacy, which captured the attention of the Rainbow Nation about a year ago.

An investigation is reportedly ongoing over the reported blast. We might keep you posted, so tag along.
