Big Brother Mzansi is a reality show that has given a platform to hitherto unknown people and also made them somewhat comfortable, visible, and loved. But how did some of the winners of the reality show spend their financial windfall?
That was the subject of a recent TikTok video. In a clip shared by DStv, several past winners of the show traipsed down the paths of memory, revealing their first purchase with the money they won. Of particular interest was what the first winner of the reality show, Mandla Hlatshwayo, bought.
In a confession that surprised many viewers, he pointed out that his first purchase was a mere R59 airtime. The 2015 winners Ntombi and Ace confessed that they were much more extravagant in their purchase, snagging cars with their sudden windfall.
The much-loved sangoma Mpho Wabadimo, who won the 2022 edition of the show confessed that she actually purchased doughnuts to satisfy her cravings that had lingered for a while. The video had many South Africans recalling the past years of the show and how things went down. You can check out the clip below.
