Big Sean Announces “Detroit 2” Album

Big Sean announces the release of his new album tagged “Detroit 2”.

Although the album doesn’t have an actual release date, the rapper made the revelation that his new album is about where he is from. He said Detriot is like a home to him and in the new project he visited his old style of rap, which he says is what is popular in Detroit. The album will be released under G.O.O.D music/Def Jam. The new project is coming as a follow up to his collaborative project with Metro Boomin titled “Double or Nothing” and his “I Decided” project in 2017.

The rapper made the news known on Wednesday 25th of March 2020, which also happened to be his 32nd birthday. He also accompanied the announcement with a trailer visual for his fifth album. In the visual he paid homage to his hometown Detroit, he also talked about revisiting music from his young self, while putting the project together, as the style of music is what is popping in Detroit. The video also featured shots of places in Detroit, restaurant shots, him hanging out with friends and in the studio making music. While these were going on, some songs from the project were being played under.
