Inkabi Records Big Zulu is not the happiest of musos right now, having failed to win the Ukhozi Song of the Year for which he was nominated alongside nine others in 2020.
Big Zulu had earned a nomination for the highly competitive Song of the Year with his “Imali Eningi” single featuring Intaba Yase Dubai and Riky Rick.
Fellow muso Khuzani, a maskandi artiste, won the Song of the Year scudetto with his song “Ijele.” He won with 957 950 votes.
A Big Zulu fan who goes by the twitter handle @Vusumuzikhoza was unimpressed by the results. As far as the fan was concerned, the result was fraudulent. The fan insisted big Zulu’s song ought to have won, because it was actually the song of the year.
Big Zulu apparently shared the fan’s sentiments. He retweeted the fan’s opinion. A clapping emoji indicated this much. There was also a sad facer in Big Zulu’s retweet, indicating he was pained not to have won the Song of the Year scudetto.
