Back in 2020 after he acquired a major stake in Gallo Records, the international DJ had described the deal as important and that it’s not because of him but the South African music community, with a goal of changing the narrative from exploitation to fairness – an environment where artists thrive.

By the way, after what has been described as a bitter tiff with his estranged wife Enhle Mbali on social media, Black Coffee and Enhle appeared to have made peace. In a post in which she revealed he just but a racing car for their son, she had described him as “Dad,” something she wouldn’t do previously.
