Black Coffee To Become Virtual Avatar As Part Of Sensorium Galaxy’s 2021 Concert Projects

It’s another big win for celebrated disc jockey and producer DJ Black Coffee will now have an avatar developed in his image and will perform through the use of motion-capture technology.

The set up is part of Sensorium Galaxy’s attempt to take virtual concerts to new levels in 2021 since the concert scene will most likely not remain the same because of the coronavirus pandemic.

EDM (electronic dance music) broke the news on Twitter on 21 December.

A delighted Black Coffee shared the news with his Twitter followers, stating that the future is here. He followed that up with a couple of the praying hands emoji.

Black Coffee has been deluged with congratulations from friends and fans alike following the announcement to make an avatar in his image. He is the first South African to be so honoured.

His fans were unanimous he deserved the honour. Some fans even cite his résumé as the most internationally recognized South African disc jockey and producer. And yet some fans, besides saying he deserves what he got, prayed for even bigger wins for him.
