Expectedly, some of fashion’s and entertainment’s most prominent names were on the ground for the occasion — some solo, others with their spouses.
Not to be missed during the event was Blake Lively, who turned up in a dress that turned from copper to green, a clear tribute to New York and the statue of liberty.
Kylie Jenner was the bride at the Met Gala. Only, there was no wedding. Lol. She merely turned up in a wedding dress with loud references to Virgil Abloh.
Onika Tanya Maraj, the rapper long famous as Nicki Minaj, rocked a distinctive look — a black dress complemented by a baseball cap of the same colour. She had her son Papa in tow.
Cardi B was another head-turner during the Met Gala. She turned up in a gold gown that did justice to her figure.

Normani turned up on a crop top that accentuated her toned body and had many nodding approbations.
Another figure who captured attention was lady Gaga. She rocked a floral dress that brings to the present memories of decades past.
Another notable guest whose appearance turned heads was Sabrina Carpenter. Her massive gold dress swept the carpet as she posed for the camera.
