SA Hip Hop star, Blxckie opens up about why he hesitates to rap in Zulu.
Mzansi has seen and loved the rise of Hip Hop star, Blxckie. The talentsd muso has been one of the year’s biggest successes especially in the SA Hip Hop scene. He has collaborated with huge names and also released his debut album “B4Now”.
However, it is obvious that he hasn’t really dropped songs in Zulu, although he speaks the language fluently. Recently, in a chat with Zkhiphani, the rap star talked about his music, his inspiration, and why he chooses to call himself Blxckie Somnyama.
He revealed that he has always wished that his fans know he is Zulu. However, he has hesitated to rap in Zulu because he doesn’t really know how to go about it. He also highlight rappers including Zakwe, Duncan and more who do it effortlessly and inspire him. Watch the full interview below.
