Media personality Bujy Bikwa has been released on R2000 bail after being detained for allegedly assaulting the rapper Boity Thulo.
Eyewitness to the assault had alleged that the media personality and Boity were discussing sangomas or local healers (Boity is a sangoma) when things spiraled out of control and the two came to blows.
Bujy Bikwa had reportedly injured the rapper in the face when he threw a bottle at her. Boity had been rushed to the hospital for treatment soon after.
Following the assault, Bujy was detained by the police and spent the weekend behind bars. His application for bail last Friday was denied also. He’s been bailed right now, though, with strict instructions from the magistrate on how he should conduct himself.
Among others, he was warned to keep a great distance from Boity as well as avoid contact with the person who had witnessed the assault.
By the way, Boity had not witnessed the bail hearing. She had also deleted the statement she released on social media regarding the assault.
