Boity Bags SAMA Nomination With “4436” Album

“Wuz Dat” rapper Boity is currently buzzing in Mzansi following her nomination for the South Africa Music Awards (SAMA) in the Best Hip Hop Album category.

Boity was able to pull off the nomination coup with her album “4436.” That album has an interesting history. At the time the songstress released it, fans had been puzzled with the number. It was unusual.

Speaking on the number, she had stated that it was the number of the house where she once lived with her grandmother. With the album, she had immortalized the house and her grandmother, too.

Boity’s nomination is also significant in that it is her debut album. She had been nominated alongside Nasty C (“Zulu Man With Some Power”), Yanga Chief (“Popstar”), Zakwe and Duncan (“Zakwe and Duncan”), and Nadia Nakai (“Nadia Naked II).

An excited Boity had shared the news of her nomination on Twitter. Acouple of cring ad praying hands emojis indicate she was immensely pleased to have been nominated. You can check out her tweet below.

The responses to her post fans were just as excited about her nomination.

It isn’t all celebration in the music community, though, as another muso, Makhadzi, dropped crying emojis on Twitter after not getting any nominations
