Bravo Le Roux Picked For CottonFest Open Mic Finals Judging Panel

If South African rapper Riky Rick could see from the dead, he would certainly be pleased to know that CottonFest, a musical festival that he founded years ago, is thriving well without him.

Well, the Open Mic Finals of CottonFestn is just around the corner, with South African musician Bravo Le Roux already co-opted as part of the judging panel.

The songster himself shared about the choice of his as part of the panel in a post on his Instagram Story. According to him, he is grateful to have been picked as part of the judging panel.

The choice of him might not come as a surprise, seeing how much respect he has earned so far as part of the CottonFest and as one of the South African musicians of note. You can check out the post below.

CottonFest is an all-hip-hop event. But in the intervening months since Riky Rick’s death, artists of other genres had been co-opted to perform at the event, leading to criticisms from some quarters, including that the focus of the show was being diluted.

Anyway, all that appears to be in the past now, as everyone appears focused on the festival continuing and dying off with its founder.
