Chart-topping KPop group BTS’ JungKook is set to begin his military service this December.
According to recent reports, BTS’ management agency has announced that the group is on track to carry out its military service. The chart-toppers are currently on a break as a group, as three out of its seven members are doing their country South Korea’s mandatory military service.
The management agency also revealed that the remaining four members, RM, Jimin, V, and JungKook, have already begun the process of military enlistment. Jung Kook is expected to start in December. By mid-2025, all members of the group are expected to be done with their service.
In a message to his fans, shared on Wednesday, the “Seven” hitmaker said, “This coming December … I’m leaving you for a short while to serve in the military. After I return, I promise that I will be where I always am, on stage – having grown.“
According to Hybe, the parent company of BTS’ management agency, the members who have served earlier will remain active while others are away. On November 3rd, Jungkook released his debut album “Golden.” The project housed eleven tracks, including the hits “Seven” featuring Latto and “3D” featuring Jack Harlow.
