Nigerian Afro-fusion singer Burna boy announced that he will release his much anticipated single today’s midnight 12th May 2022. The new song is titled Last Last, and it is taken off his soon to be released “Love, Damini” album.
Burna boy brought Nigeria to New York at a sold-out Madison Square Garden show just a few weeks ago, where he performed all of his major hit songs and some unreleased songs. During his performance, Burna Boy announced his next studio album titled Love Damini while he performed a song from the unreleased album. “Love, Damini” will be his sixth studio album and is due for release on his birthday, July 2.
Over the last years, Afrobeat has blossomed from a continental staple into a global sound, with artists such as Nicki Minaj, Beyonce and even Ed Sheeran incorporating the genre into their music and cosigning the culture. However, the genre reached a new peak with Burna Boy’s concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday, which affirmed him as the first Nigerian artist to headline a sold-out show at the legendary arena.
Burna Boy is about to make magic again, but this time with a new song, he took to his Instagram page to announce “Last Last”. The excited singer captioned the post “New single called “Last Last” out at midnight 😉 #lovedamini”. Listen to few seconds teaser of the song below:
