Caps: Master KG Denies Exiting Open Mic Productions

Contrary to earlier reports, “Jerusalema” hitmaker Master KG has not departed from Open Mic Productions, the record label which released his hit mentioned earlier, or so he’s implying.

News 24, quoting sources at Open Mic Productions, had stated that the songster, who’s currently on a tour of Europe, had left Open Mic productions and that was the reason he was excluded from the recently released “African Queen” album of his one-time girlfriend and artist at Open Mic, Makhadzi.

Master KG had shared the post by News 24 on Twitter, with three caps emoji, indicating the story wasn’t true. He added no words whatsoever.

Master KG has been on the music scene for several years, but it wasn’t until he released “Jerusalema” in collaboration with Nomcebo that he became a global figure, earning invitations from around the world.

The song was a global hit that pumped his fame as well as led to a crisis with Nomcebo over sharing of royalties. Nomcebo had reportedly requested 70 percent instead of the 50-50 they agreed on at the outset.

The inability to reach an agreement had also led to each of them going on tour without the other to promote the song. Well, what do you think?
