Cardi B Is First Female Rapper To Earn Diamond Certification For Single

“Bodak Yellow,” which is Cardi B’s breakout song, has been certified diamond by the RIAA.

The RIAA shouted out her success in a tweet a day ago, making it known the songstress is the first female artiste achieve that record. You can check out the tweet below.

Card B released “Bodak Yellow” in 2017 but did not rest on the success of the song. She had gone on to release other numbers, including the controversial “WAP,” which had Megan Thee Stallion as the sole guest.

“WAP” was an equally spectacular success, giving Cardi B a new record as a rapper. Last we checked, “WAP” has been certified 1o times platinum.

Excited about her “Bodak Yellow” triumph, Cardi B had joined the “how it started and how it is going challenge,” sharing clips of her journey so far.

For caption, she thanked everyone who’s so far congratulated her on “Bodak Yellow” going diamond.  Years back, she was ignorant of the term diamond in music circles; she only wanted to break into the music industry.

Interstingly, at the time she shared her “Bodak Yellow” tune with the world, she was seriously doubting her abilities. No more. You can check out her post below, if you please.
