Cassper Nyovest Joins Judges Unathi Nkayi, Somizi Mhlongo, & Randall Abrahams for Idols SA’s Season Premiere In Cape Town

Family Tree boss Cassper Nyovest has joined Idols SA as a first judge for this season’s audition holding in Cape Town.

This season of the reality television show was a subject of intense speculations because of the coronavirus pandmic. Some had assumed the show wouldn’t hold as a result of the restrictions on gatherings. But the season is here finally.

Cassper Nyovest joins the panel of returning judges comprising Unathi Nkayi, Randall Abrahams and the controversial Somizi Mhlongo.

Cassper Nyovest is an interesting choice. He isn’t new to artistic criticism, really. Being the head of a record label, he has the chance to listen to the works of several artistes before the public gets to hear “pim” – as they say down here.

Who, for instance, can forget his criticism of Nadia Nakai’s initial songs for “Nadia Naked” album? He literally crossed them out and asked the “Yass Bitch” rapper to start all over. The result is the soaraway “Nadia Naked” album that the world knows of today.

Well, what do you think of Cassper Nyovest joining Idols SA this season as the first judge? You might wish to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section below.
