Costa Titch collapsed and died while performing on stage in Johannesburg on March 11. The death was as unexpected as they come and reverberated across South Africa, with many condoling with the late rapper and dancer’s family.
One of those who have sent their condolences so far is South African rapper Cassper Nyovest. In a post on his verified Instagram page, he bid his late compatriot rest in peace while also sharing his condolences with Costa Titch’s fans and family. You can check out the tweet below.
Costa Titch and Cassper Nyovest were somewhat close years back in the sense that the “Big Flexa” chanter was part of Cassper Nyovest’s dancers back then, Along the line, though, with Cassper Nyovest temporarily ditching hip hop for amapiano, a little friction appeared to have developed in their relationship.
At the time, Costa Titch had bid Cassper to remain in the amapiano orbit and not jump back to hip hop after seeing the efforts of other South African musicians at reviving hip hop in the Rainbow Nation. Still, with Costa Titch passing, the “Doc Shebeleza” chanter had to pay his respects.
The police are currently investigating Costa titch’s death. It was alleged that the flashing lights on stage might have provoked a seizure that led to his death. He was reportedly epileptic.
